Hi all-
Thank you so much for visiting our blog site supporting my first book effort entitled “The Sweetness of Trial.” I have provided a “condensed” version of the book’s first draft on this blog site in order to solicit your comments and reaction to the book content.
If you have a story to tell about trial in your life or in the life of another, you are invited to share your insights on this blog site so others can benefit as well.
Chuck, I love your book! I have to admit that I’m definitely anxious to eat the rest of the cookie.
Wendy … thank you for your comment. I can arrange to have the cookie delivered right to your door.
Great book!! I really enjoyed reading it. As a person who has endured many trials, myself, I can see how this book would really be of help. It really makes me feel good to know that im not alone in having trials. Sometimes when im going through something, its hard to believe that someone else can be going through some of the same things. So its nice to see that I am not alone.
Chuck, I want to buy a copy (copies) of your book. I have a book about trials inside me as well. I remember staying at Don and Nancy’s Cabin the night of Aug. 28th, 2006 and feeling inspired by the book “Believing Christ” to pray for Humility. My world was turned upside-down on Feb. 12th, 2007. Over the course of the next 3 years, I Learned and grew in humility through the trials I was blessed with.
I miss seeing and interacting with you on a regular basis, but cherish the memory of each association we shared. God bless you in your endevour to spiritually lift others’ eyes Heaven-ward. Your book will cause others to, asThomas S Monson has said.; “Look Up.”
Thank you Russ, for your support and kind words. I have always appreciated your courage and strength as we both tried to make our way in life. I hope you do write that book that is inside you, because you have become a great example of one who has been tried and kicked a bit … but got back up and made more of himself, a winner in God’s eyes and surely in mine. God bless you for your honest efforts at becoming.
As the mother of special needs children whom I adore immensely, I try to think “outside the box” of trials that we face on a daily basis. I LOVE the title of the book…The SWEETNESS of Trial. Our trials are sweet, when we keep an eternal perspective and when we realize that these earthly trials are just a small stretch of road on an eternal journey. When we look for the sweet taste amidst the bitter, we have been assured we will find it, through the care of a loving Heavenly Father and the atoning love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Can’t wait to read more! =)
Thank you Ranee. You hit the nail on the head. There is sweetness in trial, if we will but accept it’s place in our life and strive to become better and not “bitter.” Thank you for your comment and feel free to share your trials on this blog site.
